Are you looking to increase the level of communication with staff, colleagues, management, vendors and business partners? Welcome to project management!

This session will provide an introduction to the foundational skills associated with structured project management programs and the effective use of tools and techniques to help effectively, and efficiently, initiate your project activities. Project management is the activity of planning, organizing and managing tasks, and people, to achieve the specific goals of a project.

Attending this project management session will help you to:

  • Understand and use various project management terms in communicating to your teams and organizations.
  • Introduce the various roles that are associated with a successful project effort including the Project Sponsor.
  • Identify and manage project goals, objectives and risks through the use of a project charter.
  • Determine success criteria, quality standards and techniques to help staff and customers adapt to change

Each participant will receive project management tools and templates that will enable them to begin implementing project management best practices immediately upon returning to their offices on Thursday.
