Call for Presenters

Through exceptional learning and performance we create a world that works better.

This is the mission of ATD and we invite you to partner  with us in this mission to bring superior quality education to our learners. This means submitting proposals to build core skills, share best practices and innovations, and lead the way on trends. Most of all, this means submitting proposals that are learner-focused and ensuring that each session is a learning experience with application to the participant’s work.

Our peer education program and the topics for submission should concentrate on the ATD Competency Model shown below.

The ATD Competency Model:

  • defines the latest competencies needed for success across the entire TD industry.
  • provides a professional development roadmap for TD leaders and practitioners.
  • provides the opportunity to align individual and organizational goals against an industry standard backed by research and forward-thinking.

The model emphasizes foundational competencies that are important to everyone in the field and specific areas of expertise (AOEs), which are the specialized knowledge and actions required by specific roles.

Other good things to weave into this copy include: awards won, distinctions given, number of products sold, company philosophy (just keep it short), interesting company history bits, and anything that makes a reader think you'd be awesome to do business with.

Looking to share your expertise?

If you are an experienced trainer who would like to share your expertise with the Capital Region Chapter of ATD, we invite you to submit a brief summary of your training program for our upcoming calendar year. Our monthly programs run approximately 90 minutes in length. We also run some longer programs during our Talent Development Summit and special half-day events.

Please fill out the request for presenters below.  If you have questions, email us at or call us at 518.594.1661. We will contact you to let you know whether the Program Committee has selected your program.

Please note that if you are selected to present, you will be asked to provide a photo to be used on our website. The photo you submit to will be proportionately reduced in size so that its longer side will be no larger than 100px, ergo a head-shot is much better than an “in situ” shot, so please plan accordingly.
